XFX GeForce 7900 GT XXX Edition:
Core Clock: 560MHz
Memory Clock: 1650MHz
XFX's video cards have differing warranties depending on the region you buy your video card in. In the UK and Europe, XFX operates a standard limited two year warranty service covering the repair or replacement of the product. In the US, XFX operates a limited double lifetime warranty - you can read more about that
here.
The box design is the familiar X shaped box that stands out on the shelf. At the top of the box, there is a small velcro flap that lifts up and tells you the features on the card, including information on the memory type, bus type, output options and bundle details.
The bundle includes the Starship Troopers game - we've not played it but apparently,
it's not great. There are two DVI-to-VGA adapters, a PCI-Express power adapter, a YPbPr component-out breakout cable and an S-Video cable. Finally, XFX rounds off the bundle with a driver CD, a manual and a quickstart guide.
The cooler is XFX-branded and is the same cooler that is used on the BFG Tech card. Apart from the branding, there is nothing to distinguish it from any other GeForce 7900 GT.
Obviously, the clocks are significantly higher than both the reference card and the BFG Tech card. Interestingly though, both the BFG Tech and the XFX GeForce 7900 GTs use the same Samsung memory DRAMs - they're rated at 1.4ns, which means that their rated speed is 715MHz (1430MHz DDR). That means that XFX are running the memory on this card beyond its specifications and it'll be interesting to see whether there is room for anymore headroom.
